Every year, the Good Food Guide publishes a list of Britain’s 100 Best Local Restaurants. In their words:

"A Best Local Restaurant is likely to be a casual kind of place, with excellent cooking using local suppliers and a brilliantly warm welcome for whoever walks through the door. It's the kind of restaurant that draws you back time and again."

That sounds like the kind of place we strive to be.

Running an independent pub and restaurant is never straightforward, but in the past year, we’ve worked hard to make The Prince somewhere that people want to come back to. Our dining room has evolved, our kitchen has found its rhythm, and we’ve had some incredible support from our local community (we even picked up an OpenTable Diners' Choice Award for 2025).
